Be Content

Philippians 4

11 Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.
12 I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.

How can I make it through every situation that I may face? in the book of Philippians 4:12(B), Apostle Paul writes, “I have found the secret to living. What is the secret of living in every situation? The answer to that is, being content in the Lord God. When you are content in the Lord God, you have establish the type of faith, that will allow you to make it through whatever you’re facing. When you are content in the Lord God, you have now establish the belief and the trust, that he’s going to always walk with you in the furnace! That he’s always gonna be with you in the den, and that he’s always going to, protect you from the storms and the floods! This comes from a place of CONTENTMENT in the Lord God!!

Growing in the rural area of Talladega, I didn't have much. My brother and I wore hand me downs,and shared a bedroom in a 2bedroom single wide trailer. My father drove a Chevrolet S10 truck, with a family of 4. Normally I sat in my mothers lap. There were days, when we literally didnt have money to eat. I would recall my parents would be begging my family memebers for money until the next pay day. As a result of this lifestyle, I wanted to make sure that I lived differently. My whole purpose in life was to make a lot of money, get fancy cars and a big house. When things did not go as I planned, I became frustrated with God and with life. I find myself in slump becuase mymind was fixed on the wrong things. However, when Covid 19 came, I became very sick. It was while laying in the hospital bed, that I realized, as long as I had Jesus, I was content. I realized that everything else in the world could be taken away. Not only am I content with Jesus,but I'm happy. He's be better to me than I been to myself.

Being content is accepting where you are and being satisfied with that in many facets and ways. Living in a peaceful state with God and in that state you've found what truly matters and contentment.
