Joshua 1:9: Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God with thee whithersoever thou goest.
It may not seem like it, you may not feel like it, but the Lord is strengthening you right now. He is letting you know that He is with you! Like Joseph, in spite everything that happened in his life, the Bible let us know that the Lord was with him. The Lord is with you!
Hebrews 10:35-37: Amplified Bible
35 Do not, therefore, fling away your [fearless] confidence, for it has a glorious and great reward.
36 For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised.
37 For yet in a very little while, He who is coming will come, and will not delay.
You've been battle-tested, tried, and remained faithful to God's assignment. You have remained obedient against ALL odds. You could have easily thrown in the towel, but you didn't. You've been patient without complaining. You didn't throw away your confidence in God. Now, the release (allow or enable to escape from confinement set free; 2) allow (something) to move, act, or flow freely) is near (close to, at hand).
God is turning the waters and the tables are turning. For those that have been obedient and remained faithful to the assignment, you will receive the promise. No more delay because hope deferred maketh the heart sick! He that shall come, will come, and will come with His reward!
The fruit of the spirit is: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, as described in the Bible. Our lives should developing these pillars everyday and the more we develop these attributes, the more we look like Christ and less like us!
Love: A selfless, sacrificial love for God and others. God demonstrates His agape or unconditional love towards us.(1 Corinthians 13)
Joy: A deep and lasting delight in God, regardless of circumstances. (Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength, Nehemiah 8:10)
Peace: A sense of inner calm and harmony, provided by God. ("And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus," Phillipians 4:7)
Patience: The ability to endure difficult situations and people with patience and forbearance. ("But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing," James 1:4)
Kindness: Gentleness, compassion, and benevolence towards others. ("Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you", (Ephesians 4:32)
Goodness: Moral and ethical excellence; doing what is right. (Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever", Psalms 23:6)
Faithfulness: Loyalty and commitment to God and to one's promises. ("If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness," 1 John 1:9)
Gentleness: A gentle and humble spirit, characterized by a lack of harshness. ("A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger," Proverbs 15:1).
Self-control: The ability to control one's emotions, desires, and impulses, (A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls," Proverbs 25:28, NIV).
The LORD, the Psalmist's Shepherd.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
We must use spiritual weapons to overcome the adversary called satan! He not only opposes God, but the best of God's creation..mankind! In order to defeat Satan, we must put on daily the whole armor or God. He attacks our mind and we must engage through casting down every form of information that opposes the word of God.
If we don't, strongholds are built in our minds. We must violently throw down these arguments. Our weapons include praise, worship, intercession, thanksgiving, prayer, confession from the word of God, and fasting. These spiritual weapons will annihilate the enemy and cause him to retreat.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Phillipians 4:19)
Our SOURCE (GOD), NEVER runs out of resources. Our posture must be to walk by faith and be obedient!
This is a MATH problem: FAITH+OBEDIENCE =ACCESS
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Phillipians 4:19).
We must understand that everyone who confesses they know the Lord does not. Many will say that they have a relationship with Him, however, does the Lord know you? My is a personal, possessive pronoun that means ownership. If someone or something belongs to you, you communicate, "He/she/it is mine." We have taken ownership of what is our possession.
My means that we have a personal relationship. When we accept Christ as our Lord and personal Saviour, not only does He belong to us, we belong to Him. He says, "My child, my children, my workmanship, etc. When we belong to Him, all our needs are met. A good father takes care of His children. We an an infinite supply in the Kingdom. The King supplies all the needs od those who are living in His Kingdom! God supplies us with riches according to His glory by His son, Jesus Christ.
Riches means (wealth, abundance of external possessions, fulness, abundance, plenitude, a good i.e. that with which one is enriched). We must learn not to worry, fear, or fret. Thank you God for your infinite supply given to your children. Let us remain thankful and obedient because God does not have to supply us with anything.
My father used to say, "God is the only God who can show Himself around the world 🌎 and back again without even leaving! In other words, He sees all, knows all, and is everywhere at the same time ⏲️! God's timing is IMPECCABLE! Our timing is tardy and to us, His timing is late, He is right on time! We must make a determination to not get caught in chronos time and get on the clock of Heaven! One thousand years is but a day to God! We must learn to wait on the Lord and as Dr. Joe L. Dudley eloquently stated, "Walk by Faith, Work By Formula!" Wait on the Lord and wait on God's timing!
1 John 1:9 communicates, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
This is a scripture of accountability. Accountability is being answerable to God for one's actions. According to Proverbs 28:13, states that those who conceal their sins will not prosper, but those who confess and abandon them will receive mercy. Being accountable demonstrates maturity, We receive cleansing through the blood of Jesus and obtain His mercy when we confess our sins.
Confession is a sign of humility because it eliminates pride. Not being accountable, acknowledging, and hiding our sins causes us to not prosper. A godly sorrow worketh repentance. We must be sorrowful for our sins that it causes us not to return to them. The Holy Spirit gives us the power, conviction, and temperance (self-control) to refrain from sin. It starts with true confession and then our heart posture must change after the confession is made. Confession brings healing and liberty, concealing a matter causes bondage and suffering!
Jeremiah 10:24: LORD, correct me [along with Your people], but with mercy and in just measure— Not in Your anger, or You will crush me and bring me to nothing.
God corrects, disciple, discipline, or chastens thise he loves. Proverbs communicates that parents who fail to discipline their children hate them. Correction is the highest form of love and failure to correct is the highest form of hate.
God is holy and desires us to be holy. God's correction is an indication that we belong to him and are not bastards. God ALWAYS corrects out out love because no man can stand His anger. God's anger will destroy, crush, annihilate, and ultimately kill us. If God corrects us, it simply means that He loves us!
Grace is the unmerited, undeserved favor that God extends towards us. Mercy is the compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm. In a nutshell, grace gives us what we don't deserve; mercy does not give us what we do deserve!
We don't deserve favor, but we do deserve death. God extended both to us as sinners and because He extended both unto us, our godly sorrow should work repentance. I receive both of them from God and in exchange, I give Him my obedience. That is a fair exchange and the least we can do. Obedience is our reasonable service!
